EXPLORE IOWA'S TERRITORIES AND TRAILS

BUCKY’S TERRITORIES AND TRAILS

Ten years ago a brave explorer named Bucky, and his faithful companion IGO, set out on a journey to discover the territories and trails of the great state of Iowa.

As they crossed the state looking for their geocache treasures they discovered something else. They spotted some really cool pictures that told stories, and shed light on the history of Iowa. Bucky decided to mark these pictures to share with friends as he told them about his travels.

Now, Bucky and IGO want you to visit these pictures, and see the history of Iowa for yourselves. Since Bucky and IGO are celebrating their 10th birthday this year, we have given you 10 areas to visit, five territories, and five trails. Each territory and trail has 5 outdoor murals for you to locate. There is also an OPEN category with 50 more murals for you to find. You will need to take a picture of each mural to get credit for visiting. Send your pictures to

 buckysmurals@gmail.com

to earn an entry into each drawing.

Starting today, and continuing through September 6th 2014, you can visit as many territories and trails as you wish. A separate prize drawing will be held for each of territories and trails. Each mural you find will make you eligible for the prize drawing for that group. One winner will be drawn for each territory and trail. The drawing will be held at Hike and Seek 2014 at Lake Okoboji in September.

A permanent logger geocache has been placed near State Center Iowa.
