Just had the in-laws and extended family over for a Christmas party. They always ask me if I am still into geocaching (I am) and one uncle asked me if I cache in weather like this.
I replied, Of course! In fact high summer is the worst time to go caching, Bugs, heat, tall weeds, leaf coverage that interferes with gps reception (more so in the old days)
Some of my most pleasant geocaching experiences have been walking down a snowy trail. There is the little chance of running into muggles, the quiet that gives me time to reflect, and trying to figure out what animal tracks crossed the trail.
And if the owner used an ammocan there was rarely a dnf.
