The IGO had a booth to intrduce folks to geocaching on Saturday May11 as part of Coralville's big day of play. The event is held annually to try and get people out and about by showing them things they can do at the rec center, and surrounding area.
The weather wasn't the best, real windy and a little chilly, but we had a nice turnout of cachers. We only had 4 or 5 people stop by and show interest, but I think the weather may have had something to do with that, as this is a very busy park on most weekends.
We had info on the IGO, some helpful websites, and even placed a few temps that the seasoned cachers took the potential cachers to. We had info on the supporting membership, and how it is only $10 to get that warm feeling. We have added 3 new supporting members from the event.
I think it was nice to introduce the community to our little game in this manor.
