I just thought avfter all the recent snow, what the snow situation is around the state. In the Quad Cities area, we've probably gotten a good seven inches in the last week on top of three or four that had already been there. It never seems to get warm enough to melt any of it.
And of course blowing and drifting makes it very uneven.
The "Winter Friendly" attribute is really getting tested this year. I have noticed that a few newer cachers who either haven't ever cached in the winter snow or only during the kinder ones we've had lately have been calling things winter friendly but are on or very near the ground. It's hard to know until you've actually been out there and have had to deal with it.
