Hike -N- Seek 2007

In 2004 the EIGA (Eastern Iowa Geocachers Assoc. ...now IGO) hosted the first annual “Hike -N- Seek” event at George Wyth State Park in Waterloo. The 2nd Annual Hike -N- Seek was held on October 1, 2005, at Briggs Woods County Park just south of Webster City. Last year 3AMT did a fine job of carrying on the tradition with our 3rd annual event at Lake Wapello State Park on September 23, 2006.
The 4th Annual Hike -N- Seek was Saturday, September 22, 2007, in Marshalltown.

A couple of group photos from the event are included below. Looks like about 70-75 geocachers that stayed for the photo. I’d estimate the attendance for the day to be roughly 120.

Hike -n- Seek 2007 was a lot of fun.

These winners were determined by toggling caches "on" at random and tallying points for caches found (with bonus points for FTF) as they were activated. Each team was declared a winner if/when they reached a pre-determined target score of 75. | | A number of cachers wanted to know how they did against the "competition". Well, a quick tally of the results is posted below. Note that Total Points here includes all 59 of the event caches, not just the ones that were activated to determine the top ten finishers.
