In 2008 the Linn County Conservation Board will celebrate their 50th anniversary. The LCCB and IGO are planning a series of geocaches and events, roughly one each month, featuring various Linn County parks and natural areas. Watch this space for details in the weeks and months to come.

In 2008, the Linn County Conservation Board celebrates 50 years of service to Linn County residents. A yearlong celebration highlights the numerous outdoor recreation opportunities available right here in Linn County.
The Iowa Geocachers Organization will provide geocaching activities throughout the year. IGO Members will place approximately four new geocaches each month in Linn County parks. One cache each month will be designated as the "featured" cache. This cache will contain information needed to locate and open a bonus cache (with prizes) at the end of the year.

Note:There is a nominal fee to attend the classroom portion. You are welcome to join us outside after the class to help the new cachers hunt for the temporary caches. There is no fee for the outdoor portion. See the event page for more information.
